Postdoctoral Research

A postdoctoral diploma is the recognition of a period of professional research undertaken after obtaining a doctorate. It is not an academic degree, but rather confirmation of having completed further training to deepen knowledge in a specialized area, gain experience, improve research skills, and/or publish scientific results.

Postdoctoral studies are identified by the acronym: PostDoc.

Postdoctoral studies are recognized by the issuance of a corresponding diploma and transcript at an EQF level of 8, the highest level awarded by the European Higher Education Area (EQF European Qualifications Framework). More info...

Doctor Honoris Causa Online via distance learning

The Doctor Honoris Causa is an honorary academic title awarded by Bircham International University to recognize the exceptional merits of an individual in fields such as science, art, culture, or humanitarian service, without requiring the completion of formal studies to obtain it.

The term “Honoris Causa” comes from Latin and means “for the sake of honor.” It is granted only to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions in recognition of their distinguished professional, humanitarian, and/or academic merits.

DOCTOR HONORIS CAUSA
The Doctor Honoris Causa is identified by the initials D.Hon.

A Ph.D. is an academic doctorate obtained after years of study, research, and the defense of a thesis, whereas the Doctor Honoris Causa is an honorary title awarded to acknowledge exceptional merits. Therefore, the Ph.D. is an academic achievement, while the Doctor Honoris Causa is a recognition. More info...
